Your Mission

We are looking for a highly ambitious and passionate Full-time Treasury Manager with extensive operational DeFi experience. The role will be primarily responsible for leading a team overseeing the non-custodian management of various funds and DAO Treasuries.

This role is critical to shaping our technology infrastructure and ensuring our partners have access to industry-leading risk detection, mitigation, and near-live portfolio tracking. You will work closely with developers to implement industry-leading asset management best practices. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of DeFi, be mission-driven and intellectually curious, thrive in early-stage environments, and be an avid open-source contributor.

Responsibilities

• Asset Management: Manage, grow, and evolve the company's treasury discipline, which includes an expanding portfolio of yield strategies, protocol tokens, stablecoins, and fiat currencies. Prepare strategic views on how to optimize our digital asset returns.
• Investment Banking: Engage actively in all facets of investment banking activities tailored to the DeFi context, including but not limited to financial modeling, valuation, and transaction execution.
• Financial Planning: Develop and implement treasury strategies that align with the organization's financial goals and risk tolerance. Forecast and manage cash flows to meet operational needs and maximize returns on surplus funds.
• Strategy Execution: Curate and develop sophisticated models that enhance liquidity profiles and improve the resilience of pegged assets. Work closely with solidity developers to optimize DeFi protocol parameters to align with the business strategic objectives and design smart contract functionality to support adoption/deployment of digital assets across DeFi, such as D3M.
• Risk Management: Establish robust risk management frameworks to identify, assess, and mitigate financial and Smart Contract risks. Continuously improve automated risk detection and the implementation of mitigation actions to ensure the preservation of capital. An ideal candidate has a deep understanding of how DeFi protocols execute transactions and experience with Hexagate or Hypernative is desirable.
• Reporting: Lead the preparation of detailed financial proposals, strategic recommendations for new DAO partnerships, comprehensive go-to-market strategies for the funds, and oversee delivery of the resulting periodic reports.
• Analytics: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen the tracking, analyzing, and reporting on treasury KPIs and insights for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Leadership: Create and manage a dedicated team, setting the right culture and structure to operate at scale, and working closely with the rest of the organization to achieve ambitious objectives.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with the TradFi industry, attending webinars, conferences, and other events to network with industry professionals and gain insights.
• Compliance: Ensure all fund activities are compliant with our partners' requirements and internal ethical standards.

About You

• Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field. A Master's degree or CFA designation is highly preferred.
• Experience: 5+ years experience in financial markets, treasury work, asset management, and/or cash management. Experience in banking, consulting, or corporate finance functions is helpful. Passion for DeFi and ideally a solid understanding of dApps and the Ethereum overall ecosystem.
• Analytics: Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and other analytical tools such as data visualization software like Tableau; comfort in drawing conclusions from data and making recommendations based on imperfect information.
• Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to leverage data from a multitude of sources to tell a persuasive story, tailor communication style based on the audience, and influence others in both verbal and written mediums.
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead with vision, embodying both a hustler's energy and a founder's mentality.
